I hope you all have been enjoying this series of guest posters as much as I have. Up today is Kara from A Little Bit of Lovely. Kara blogs about all of the things that interest me, from parenting and kids to decorating and style. I know I can always find something fun and/or useful on her blog. Speaking of funny, she recently posted the most hilarious website called Leisure Dive. Go check out her blog, I know that you will find something (or lots of things!) that will interest you.
Hi y’all! I’m Kara from A Little Bit of Lovely and I am thrilled to be guest posting for Suzy today. Not only is Suzy super talented, but she is one of the nicest bloggers I have met! The Sound of Music is one of my favorite movies, so I am excited to share with you a few of my favorite things.
The rocking chair in the nursery is definitely one of my favorite things. Not only do I adore the colorful stripes, but it is seriously the most comfortable chair ever! I have such wonderful memories of holding, rocking, and singing to my boys in this chair. When they were newborns, I even did a lot of sleeping here in the middle of the night! :) Once my youngest graduates to a big boy room, I hope we can re-upholster this chair/ottoman and use it in another part of the house.
Next up is my bedroom. Although this room is still a work in progress, I love this space and try to keep it as calm and clutter-free as possible. We have a pillow-top mattress, which I adore, because it because it is like sleeping on a big, fluffy cloud!
I recently made a magnetic chalkboard for our kitchen. It is a fun place to write little notes, quotes, reminders, etc. The boys love coloring on it and it is a nice spot to hang their artwork. It will definitely come in handy this fall for all the calendars, paperwork, etc. when my oldest starts pre-school.
Since I love to cook & bake, I am BFFs with this bad boy. What did we ever do before our Kitchen Aids?
Thanks for having me today, Suzy! Hope you all enjoyed seeing just a few of my favorite things.
Love the rocker - broke my heart to part with mine; I can appreciate a good pillow-top mattress because I do not have one:) and yes, when I do bring the kitchenaid out it is a special baking experience..great post, so meaningful!
