Seeing Stripes

Here's what I've been up to.  Last night, I started this project by painting the hallway Gull by Martha Stewart.

Here's how the hallway started - a sandy brown.

In this photo, the new Gull color is on the left and the old wall color is on the right.  I already like how much lighter this hallway will be.

Next, I taped off stripes on the lower portion of the wall.  I'm going to paint the stripes a blue-gray and finish by adding a chair rail.

I finished this part of the hallway, but then ran out of tape for the part of the hallway around the corner.  I was hoping to finish this project this morning, but I have a sick daughter home with me and I don't want to run out to the store with her.  I hope to get this finished tomorrow.
