Pink Flamingos

If you had asked me what I thought of flamingos a year ago, I probably would have responded that I thought they were kind of creepy with their long scaly legs, beady eyes, and knobby beak.

What do you think of flamingos?  Does it bring to mind Hawaiian shirts or a yard filled with plastic birds?

Pretty colors?

Or one of my favorite rooms?

The more I see flamingos, the more I like them.  Maybe it's my newfound love of all things pink?

If you need a little flamingo in your life (or at least a pop of pink!), I rounded up some pretty items for you.

it's so funny how much our styles and likes change. if you had told me a year ago that i would be putting coral in my home AND loving it i would have told you you were off your rocker!

Gotta say, generally I'm not much of a flamingo fan. They just scream Florida-retirement-home to me but I've seen it done well so i'll never say never!

It's the "kitschiness" and color that appeal to me, in a tiny dose! Your round up is spot on...!

Hi there! I just wanted to say hello -- it has been too long since I've commented. I've continued to read and just had a nice time catching up on your posts, but haven't been commenting from my phone. Anyway just wanted to say hello. LOVE the pink flamingo picks, they are all so happy.

I love flamingos. I've considered putting a few in the front yard for fun, and if they annoy the neighbors, even better.

I will say that as a rule, I try not to ever say "I would never do..." because I often find my taste changes as often as the weather.

We were just talking about yard flamingos. My six year old wants two for her garden. Hmmm.....

Flamingos are pretty, just not the plastic yard ones.

They're fun and unexpected in decor!

I appreciate your roundups, Suzy, although pink flamingos in the front yard are not my thing. What you have put together is really pretty.

I'm always drawn to the variation of pink in the various art prints that I see. And then that touch of black too in the beak is perfect. I love that room too - it's always been one of my favorites.

You have me rethinking this one.

I've actually been contemplating ordering the west elm pillow :-) I like flamingos, esp in the Audubon type prints.

I'm loving flamingos right now too. Spesh the 2 prints in that breakfast nook and the west elm pillow. I've always had a thing for them though....I'm prob a weirdo.
