What happened to August?

It looks like fall has officially arrived at our house.  One of our big weekend tasks was tackling the backyard and pulling tons and tons of weeds.  We did find these guys growing under the crazy weed jungle:



 I wonder if these will keep growing until Halloween?

One of the pumpkins wasn't attached to the vine, so we let the girls carve it.  Here's what the came up with:

I wonder how long that guy is going to last in the 90+ degree heat?

I can't believe how quickly the weather has cooled and that the leaves are changing colors already. August did fly by. Those pumpkins are adorable btw!

oh how fun! i want to plant pumpkins at our next house. i think it would be so fun to be able to pick and carve out of your own yard. :) and i for one am ready fro fall!
